PLease don't make fun of me for this, but when AMD comes out with new set of Application profiles for CCC do I need to uninstall my old ones, or they built up in a cumulative fashion where I can just keep installing them?

You don't need to, but it's best to do so. Uninstall all ATI (AMD, whatever) software, reboot into safe mode, then run CCleaner or Driversweeper to get the left over files, then reboot normally. Install the new CCC, then reboot again and you;'re done.

Uh, and install one of those driver cleaning programs first, of course.

no with the drivers, I always uninstall and then hit the leftovers with driversweeper in safe mode. I 'm just talking about the application profiles. The little 250KB updates they do like every 2 weeks or so.

That's what i get for skimming the question..

Well, I do remake them. I tried leaving them be and sometimes the new driver version did weird things to them when they're loaded.. so i take the time to make new ones every time... kinda lame. Plus, soem driver version bring new features.

Every new release will contain all the old profiles as well.

But for some reason in windows>control panel, you have to uninstall all previous profile files as it doesn't do it for you.
