Ok, well basically been asking around about the 6870 for 3 monior eyefinity

I currently have the Sapphire HD6870 1GB and I'm considering getting 3 monitors

If I add another HD6870 1GB in crossfire, would this be able to play games on medium settings? (dirt3, tm2, new cod, bf3 etc)

Thanks!

Yes.

Well, it depends on what resolution you're running, and other specs. But you'll be good.

I have two XFX HD 6870s but started out with just one. I also have had a 3x1 Eyefinity setup using three ViewSonic 24-inch LCDs since previously owning a HD 5770.. I've had good success playing games in 3x1 Eyefinity with just the one HD 6870. I'm definitely able to run these games at a MINIMUM of Medium settings in games and, in many cases, at HIGH settings.

I'm quite honestly disappointed with my attempts at running 3x1 Eyefinity in CrossfireX, though. The games I would like to be playing all too often get zoomed in so much the games are completely unplayable. So far, though, my experience seems to be unique. Others with similar setups are not having this problem. Since my problem cant' be replicated by anyone else, there's no upcoming fix for me.

So, my own advice would be to get at least the one HD 6870 OR pay a bit more for a better single card solution.

Of course, however, what you may consider to be acceptable game performance may not be the same as another gamer's acceptable level of performance.
