Hi all,

I am working on a high performance racing simulator for a Dutch racing team, but suffering issues with the Eyefinity setup.

I've got 3 Optoma GT750 projectors, native 1280x800 resolution. I designed a curved screen based on the native resolution. So I've got 2 projectors connected by DVI->HDMI ports and 1 by Displayport to HDMI (via a HIS Active DisplayPort to Single Link-DVI Eyefinity Adapter). The problem arise when I connect the Displayport Adapter. The Catalyst Control Center won't let me select the native 1280x800 (or 3840x800) resolution for Eyefinity. In the list of possible resolutions, the option of 1280x800 is just not listed. Moreover, for some reason the program thinks my projects can cope with 1080p resolution. The result is that the projected images do not completely cover my screen as intended and the screen gets blurry.

We tried to override the EDID of the beamers, such that we were able to link the 3 projectors 1280x800 to one another. This results in problems when we start warping the images of the projectors. Aparently, Eyefinity is a necessity for warping screens.

Any suggestions how we can get the system running in a triple 1280x800 resolution using Eyefinity?

Many thanks,

Regards,

Remco

huh ? so your gpu doesnt have a HDMI port?

You use DVI->HDMI adapters and one active DP->DVI adapter.... so you can't chose 1280x800 in Desktop mode with only one beamer connected ?

btw, for custom eyefinity resolutions try this:

Okay, to be precise on the pc configuration:

We've got a XFX HD7970 graphics card, capable of using Eyefinity.

Projector 1: HDMI - HDMI connection via a single cable.
Projector 2: DVI - HDMI connection via a single cable.
Projector 3: DisplayPort Adapter to DVI and DVI - HDMI cable.

The thing is, they all work well separately, but when activating Eyefinity, we cannot select the required 1280x800 (or 3840x800) resolution.

Thanks for the suggestion about the other post, I'll check it out.
