Hi everyone,

I have an Asus 7970 Matrix (4x DisplayPort, 2x DVI)

and im about to buy 3 Asus VN247H monitors
(HDMI x 2, D-Sub, DVI-D (via HDMI-to-DVI cable)).

I'm trying to figure out what adapters i will need to get this up and running. I'v been googling for the last few days and for someone who has never dealt with eyefinity in the past, its all very confusing stuff!

Could someone please explain how i should go about setting this up, it would really help me out.

Thank you!

Hi,

On the Homepage from Asus it says this Monitor has:
Signal Input : HDMI x 2, D-Sub, DVI-D (via HDMI-to-DVI cable)

So the BEST solution would be a Monitor that has a Displayport input!

But i guess you want this Monitors.
DVI->HDMI cables should be included in the Box, it says.
So connecting two monitors via them, and the third Monitor via DP->HDMI active adapter.

But be warned, this *could* create Tearing effects.
using 3x the exact same DP->HDMI adapter *could* reduce the tearing effect.
and using 3x Nativ DP with a DP Monitor is the only way to guarantee that you wont get any tearing!

But that's all hipotetically. The chance that you won't get tearing at all are kinda high.

greets

Haldi

I'm kinda set on these monitors because they're great value and have just 9mm bezel and 1 ms response time, but i'll try looking for a DP monitor. if i cant find one i'll try the setup you suggested and hope for the best! :)

thank you for providing such a clear answer!

Have you had a look at these monitors Asus VE248Q. They have displayport, hdmi and dvi. I am using 3 of the 27 inch models and they work great. The 27 inch model has a .5 inch bezel.
