Hi
No one has been able to help me with this problem and I have nowhere else to go - even Matrox Support have only suggested I come here rather then help fix my problem.

My hardware is:
1 x Gigabyte GA-EX38T-DQ6
1 x Intel E8500 Core 2 Duo Processor
2 x Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) PC-12800 (1600MHz) XMP DDR3 Ram blocks
1 x Asus GeForce EN8800GTS 512Mb DDR3
1 x Western Digital 1Tb 7,200rpm 16Mb buffer SATA11 hard Drive
1 x Antec 850W TruePower Quattro Power Supply
3 x LG L1954TQ-PF 19" LCD's
1 x Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital edition to drive the monitors
1 x Saitek Cyborg Evo Force Feedback Joystick
1 x Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System
1 x Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
1 x Saitek Eclipse 2 Keyboard
1 x Saitek GM3200 Laser Mouse
1 x Logitech Z5400 5.1 Dolby/THX Sound System
1 x XFX X-Gear Gaming Rumble (vibration) Headset
1 x Windows XP Pro
All updates
Latest International version of the nvidia drivers.

Using FSX on a single monitor results in absolutly no problems at all - it is great. My issue only arises when I use the Matrox and 3 monitors. I would start the program and suddenly some textures (not all) would go fuzzy and the text in menus would disappear leaving just their underline indicator for keyboard command.

Please see the attached screenshot on what I am seeing.

I am now desperate and without any kind of support from Matrox themselves I am about to give the whole thing away and go back to a single monitor.

Any suggestions is so much appreciated and I also have crossloop installed if any expert wants to have a look at fixing it - thanks!

Wow. That is some rare case. I am using FSX on four monitors(3 on triplehead2go & 1 on the 2nd dvi of the GPU) and I've experienced no problems at all.

Try testing it with other games if the triplehead2go worked there. Also, there's a new firmware/driver/sgu of the triplehead2go, try them out. That's the best thing you can do for now.

Don't go back to a single monitor! lol! You'll figure it out soon!

I suspect that it is a GFX card issue. Easiest thing to try is put the fan on full and give it a try. Best of luck, should you fail I would like the TH2G.

Hello ...
I moved this here to hopefully get you a few more replies/help ...

Just in case it is the drivers ... have you tried older drivers ?
What resolution are you trying to run ?
Have you tried different TripleHead resolutions ?
In case it can't handle the detail you set when in TH ... have you tried different/lower detail setting in the game ?

I have tried a new video card - an XFX 9800 GX2 and that didn't fix the problem.

I am running 3 screens whose native resolution is 1280x1024 so my TH, screen and FSX resolutions are all set to the same 3840x1024.

I have tried the absolute lowest graphics settings and still no good

I have tried different drivers and ensuring I clean out the drivers by deleting all video folders and running Driver Cleaner 3 times between each driver install.

I have completely reformated my hard disk and reinstalled everything and still no good

IT IS THE TH2G THAT IS WRONG BUT ALL MATROX SAY IN THEIR SUPPORT IS TO COME HERE - that means that Matrox are not accepting responsibility nor are they helping in any way to resolve this issue.

I have spent a lot of time and money on this, I have engaged an FSX installation specialist who has set up FSX over 2,000 times and on some machines with Matrox and he also says there is nothing wrong with my PC and that it is the Matrox.

My PC works brilliantly on a single monitor

As you may gather I am starting to lose my cool with Matrox and their TH2G but most of all I am losing my cool with them having no support

Just so you know, I have the exact same problem with the TH2G using an 8800 GT video card with the latest drivers. It occurs with complex planes and scenery. Dumbing down my video card and FSX graphics settings eliminates the problem for me, but apparently that isn't the case for you. This problem has existed for me ever since I got the card, although the card was installed as part of a system rebuild so there's no way to know if the card itself is the cause of the problem without lots of testing that I just don't have the time to do - nor the spare parts to experiment with. A year's worth of driver upgrades has made no difference.

I'm sorry, but something tells me that it's not the TH2Go.

I mean, as far as I know the TH2Go simply spoofs itself to the computer as a large monitor, and then re-distributes the image produced by the computer.

If that's truly the case, then it makes no sense that the textures would be an issue, and not the image as a whole. As far as I understand it, the TH2Go does no post-processing to a generated 3d image, and I really don't understand how it could not warp the geometry, and only the textures.

As for your graphics cards drivers, are you sure you're running on all default settings, and letting the program (and not the drivers) determine the AA and AF?

Also, what are your text-related settings? Do you have cleartype on? Secondary font packs?

I agree with Dem Pyros ...
Do other games work in TripleHead ?
Have you tried it without AA as P-Storm suggested ?

HOLD EVERYTHING!!!

I have just done the extra wide screen firmware upgrade and although my video card settings are at their absolute basic mode it seems to be ok after one flight.

I will have to wait till tomorrow for Michael Greenblatt from FSGS (FLIGHT SIMULATOR GRAPHICS SOLUTIONS) to set my video card settings and FSX settings to what the ASUS 8800GTX should be able to comfortably handle.

Will keep you informed

PS, This is a dedicated Flight Sim PC and has no other software or anything else installed so I don't really want to install another game on there and have potential conflicts just yet but thanks for the suggestion :)
