I am running triplehead2go digital firmware ver. 2.03.040.t6.56. I have the latest GXM 2.05.00.020. I am running Windows 7 64bit.
When I run the GXM wizard I get. Applying mode error. "A windows error has occurred."
I am trying for Wide-screen mode with a resolution of 1680x1050 with output refresh rate of 55Hz. although I get the same error no matter which resolution I go for.
I can't seem to find the solution at the Matrox website.
I am drawing a blank here as to where to go to find this windows error as it does not give me an error code.
any thoughts anyone?
Thanks
P.S. My two side monitors are currently showing wide screen and the problem is the center monitor is in a 4:3 aspect resolution

Sorry if I sound confusing. Maybe I can better explain my situation here.
My monitors are set at default 1900X1200 native resolution in windows.
I have the triplehead2go connected and it is showing as my display. my resolution is 3840x1024. bought side monitors are filling the screen. the center monitor has black borders of 31/4" inches on each side and 1" on top and bottom. I have run the compatibility tool and past all test for max 1680x1050 per monitor at 57Hz
Bellow is what I am trying to do in Matrox set up wizard.
• Matrox product:
• TripleHead2Go Digital Edition
• Graphics hardware:
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285
• Windows display used for Matrox product:
• Display 1
• Input used:
• Digital
• Connector 1:
• Dell Computer Corp. DELL 2407WFP (Digital) on Analog connector.
• Connector 2:
• Dell Computer Corp. DELL 2408WFP (Digital) on Analog connector.
• Connector 3:
• Dell Computer Corp. DELL2407WFPHC (Digital) on Analog connector.
• Display setup:
• 3 displays, Stretched mode
• Display mode to apply:
1440x900 per monitor (output refresh rate: 60Hz).
when it gets to Applying mode I get. "A windows error has occurred"
Also I don't understand why it is showing my monitors in analog as I have them connected to DVI outputs of the triplehead2go.
Matrox output shows clone mode.

What driver version are you using for your GFX card? Have you tried the 182.50's?

my Brain hurts so much I couldn't remember my user name to log in. good thing i wrote it down.
Any way I am using the latest driver which is 190.38.
I solved my problem. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.
I went into my display set up and discovered I was set to 1:1 ratio. I changed it to fill and all is well. Each monitor is set to 1280x1024(3x1) at 60 HZ.

I am still getting the windows error. I think I need to set each individual monitor at a certain
resolution and refresh rate before I connect triplehead2go and run the wizard. My monitors default to 59Hz at the 1900x1200 resolution. they won't hold 60Hz.
Wow LFS is awesome with triplehead to go. Even an such a low resolution.

Sir Drip
I can't seem to find the 182.50 driver. Will it work with a 64bit O.S.?
Can you tell where I might download it?

There won't be that version of the driver for Win7, it was released a while ago. That driver seems to be the latest driver (for Vista) that pretty much everyone can get 5040x1050 res. Newer drivers just don't work without a lot of playing about.

Thanks, Mach1.9 pants
I had a felling that might the case. A lot of playing around! That's an understatement.
So many option to look at its mind boggling.
The sad part is somewhere along the road I had 5040x1050 as an option, while I was trying to figure out my monitor situation. Acording to Matrox My system is set to go 5040x1050. Its got to be in there somewhere. Wish me luck I'm going in.

You can probably make it work if you can create a custom resolution manually, but it will get reset after a restart or two, that's what happens in Vista 64 at least.
