I have connected the matrox and the other monitor to the first GPU. There seems to be no difference.

I randomly took a screen shot of my desktop, it was surprising

I have only my 19" additional monitor rendering an image, but the screen shots shows 3 monitors.

Very odd ...

Your Display Properties should look like this ... note the Display: ...
Matrox Triplehead2Go Digital Edition on NVIDIA ... etc.

It seems that you do not have the Matrox display driver installed (or it isn't installed correctly)

Try this ...
Go to ... Display Properties ... Settings ...
Click the "Advanced" button ...
Click the "Monitor" tab ...
Click the "Properties" button ...
Click .the "Update Driver" button ...
Choose ... Not at this time ... next ...
Choose ... "Install from a specific location" ...
Choose ... "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install"
Click ... "Have Disk" ...
Browse/navigate to your PowerDesk install directory ... usually ... C:Program FilesMatrox Graphics IncPowerDesk SE
Highlight the file ... GXM.inf
Click ... Open
You may get a pop up asking if you trust Matrox ... if you do ... answer ... yes.

This should install the Matrox display drivers and once you have re-booted the computer you should be able to choose TripleHead resolutions.

Let me know how you get on ... 8)

1) I followed all the steps. It did not work. SOme how the matrox is detected as a default monitor.

It doesn't detect Matrox.

This screen suggests you are letting it search for better drivers ... http://picasaweb.google.com/sriraman1609/MatroxGXM/photo#5236310144915586658
You need to tell it where they are ... double check these steps ...

Choose ... "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install"
Click ... "Have Disk" ...
Browse/navigate to your PowerDesk install directory ... usually ... C:Program FilesMatrox Graphics IncPowerDesk SE
Highlight the file ... GXM.inf
Click ... Open

I have installed the driver. Now the default monitor is detected as a matrox TH2Go. But the Matrox still does not detect my graphics cards. Do you think vista would be better?

Hang on ! ... I missed that you said you were on XP ...
As far as I am aware 3 x SLi only works with Vista and does not work with XP ... try removing the bottom card.

I would not recommend Vista to anyone ... but others think it is OK.

So is your problem solved if you just use 2 video cards in SLi in XP ?

You could disable one of the graphics cards in XP. Then run the other 2 SLI or disable 2 and just run 1...there is something wrong with your set up, ande I think it could be easily solved. However it is hard to do that with out the PC in front of me!
Give Matrox a call on the phone and they can remote control your PC to find out the prob. They did it for me and were really helpful :)
