Ah. I was under the assumption that this was all new stuff. Remember to get rid of those flat surfaces for better sound. Surround sound in a smaller space can sound terrible when it's bouncing all over. But i guess that would among the final steps. A classic shag rug, perhaps?

Ah. I was under the assumption that this was all new stuff. Remember to get rid of those flat surfaces for better sound. Surround sound in a smaller space can sound terrible when it's bouncing all over. But i guess that would among the final steps. A classic shag rug, perhaps?


There is a carpet outlet in town that I found has black carpet for $0.44. I could do the floor walls and ceiling with it I suppose. Ya, you can tell in the Burnout Paradise video that there are acoustic issues with the cement floor and a lot of noise from the furnace/blower next to that room. I think using carpet would deaden a lot of those issues. That'll probably be the last thing I do to finish up the room though because my main goal is to have the room functional and make it pretty later on.

Yes, dont rush it, get everything set up first, you are on the right track, this is already amazing as it is.
