Hi all,

Just wondering if the following setup would work for FSX.

1 DualH2Go connected to the graphics card and the other 2 connected to the first DualH2Go.

Would this work in Vista ?

Nb
I know that when using XP you can connect 2 DualH2Go to one graphics card ( 1 DualH2Go connected to one DVI/VGA out ) and this really gives you 4 3d accelerated screens.

If you haven't bought the dualH2go yet then just get the triplehead2go to power the 3 monitors and then the 4th one will be connected to the second dvi out of your GPU. This is what I have too. So I'm using both DVIs of my GPU. I play FSX with 4 monitors using this set up.

If you have 2 dualh2go, I think you can connect them to each of the DVI. But I'm not sure though.

No need to have 3 dualh2gos.

If 3 dh2g work like that, it would let you show windows a single 3d accelerated window, 2 + 2nd dvi wouldn't, not for most games save for the few exceptions that care about multiple monitors like fsx.

Considering a single dh2g or th2g has problems working by itself, I wouldn't bet on 3 playing nice together though.

The 4 monitor setup will be used for Flight Simulator X.
Therefor all monitors need to be 3d accelerated.

When using a TH2Go + an extra monitor , the last one will not be accelerated and the framerates will drop at least by 30%.

I like my settings very high , so the extra monitor connected to the same card is not the way for me.

Because of that I was thinking about this 3x DH2Go setup.

Anyone has other suggestions ?

The point of Surround Gaming is aspect ratio over resolution.

Whats the practical use of 4 screens? Have you considered 2 CRT projectors?

Why would you split the image of a double res virtual monitor down the middle? 1 DH2G is for example 2560x1024 to Windows, inputting that to 2 DH2G would give you at best 640 horizontal pixels stretched across 4 screens. Neither Windows or Matrox GXM knows about the 2 later DH2G in chain.

Without knowing what you expect on each screen, you arent going to get very useful suggestions.

hmmm. I think you're opting for a mini flight simulator. You're monitors will act as the windshield and the windows of the cockpit. If that's the case, I suggest you ask the flightsim community. I think they know better. I actually wanted that set up too.

So, what's the problem?

Adding an undocked window to make 4 screens will make you loose 3d acceleration and about 35-40% framerates.
