Any news on updates from our friend Racer?

... I sent him an email about it but I haven't heard back yet ... :(

AAArgh! Why oh why did I install the patch? If it wasn't already then it is now confirmed that Racer S's FOV Hack doesn't work which by default means your wonderful edits doesn't work either.

I know without the FOV hack the game is all but unplayable but the fix for the text should work even if you don't run the FOV Hack ...
But then again ... if it isn't working for you ... it may be the game patch that stops the text fix from working.
I haven't installed the patch so I don't know for sure.

Sorry Paddy, yeah I meant that I only tried it with the FOV hack... I cant even contemplate playing at 3840x1024 without it. So yep, your tweks are untested for me with the latest patch installed. Sorry for any confusion...

Well, let's wait until this WE to see if some miracle can happen for a fix working with patch... anyway, Thks again until now, for the few i tested, no problems with unpatched version :-)

Yeah it should work for any screen ... just follow the instructions above ...
If it is too small for you ... or you want to change it yourself ...
Open the ... system.ltx ... file with a text editor (NotePad ... WordPad) ...
Under the heading ... [hud_cursor]

Change the value in this line to suit your taste ...

cross_length = 0.003

The original length was ...

cross_length = 0.015

I found some text that appeared "in view" (messages from the Trader etc.) that was still cut off ... I updated the STALKER TH Text Fix.rar ... 8)

There is a lot of spam in his forum which I would have thought he would have removed if he was around ... I guess he is away on vacation or maybe he is busy with work ...
