Hello,

I hope that I am correct that ATI / AMD NEW HD2900 Series is compatible with 3840x1024 with 3D acceleration on one screen ?

Due SLI and performance problems I want to get rid of my 7900gx2 and give ATI a chance by getting a new

HD2900Pro

Does anybody have any experience with the new ATIs ?

I think it would be necessary to get the 1GB ram version for 25% more price?

Correct, it is compatible in full 3840x1024 resolution. The Matrox compatibility tool tells you this and I have confirmed it with Matrox via telephone.

Thx for your confirmation Jkeefe, I really appreciate it.

The Question: Should I really get the 1GB version:

company of heroes uses at 1600x1200 almost the whole 768MB( of a 8800gtx )but the performance is not better really better with extra 512MB for the ATI:

Bioshock aswell does not perform better with 1GB
