Anyone had a chance to try this at 5040x1050?

I can play at 2400x600, 1680x1050 resolutions just fine, but when I turn it up to 5040x1050 I get stutters in a lot of places, cockpit view is unusable and when I rub the walls or run over a cone it goes down to ~10fps.

Just wonder if anyone else had this experience and if upgrading my GFX might get rid of this problem or is it something with the game that needs fixing.

EDIT2: I was disappointed with the game overall. But its a definite improvement if you compare it to ProStreet.

What is your system specs. Also, NFS Shift really is a resource hog. Don`t expect to be getting good fps running on high settings with high resolution.

i'm having the same thing happen @ 3840x1024. if hit a wall the game slow's WAY down.

tbh, it doesn't look that great to be running this bad with only 10 cars on the track.

so far this game is a little disappointing. i was hoping for more of a sim, better graphics and feel from the cars.

haven't had any crashes but some of the setting you set in the nvidia control panel make the game turn black and not playable.

was really expecting a little more from this game. i know its EA but Slightly Mad Studios was what i was putting my money on when hoping this would be a good game.

seems messing with the graphics settings helped some people get rid of the freezing/black screen issue.

I guess the game is still pretty fun despite all the issues, theres not many PC games with all this content, hope they just fix a few things in a patch. 8)

the official forum is buzzing with activity because of bugs...

guess I'm stuck playing it on 1680x1050, getting lots of freezing with 2400x600 and have to end process, looks crap too.

default settings seem to work best... quite happy with it now, albeit not in TH.

the brakes squeaking is anoying me, i never liked that in rFactor... i can still hear it ringing in my head.

I wish you could buy this as an upgrade

edit: my specs q6600 / 4gig / 8800gtx / xp sp3 / win7 x64 dual boot

tbh, i think this game is utter crap. i was really hoping it would have some element of simulation. its grid with heavier feeling cars. overall not what i was expecting. i knew it wasn't going to be hardcore simulation but i didn't think it was going to be this arcade.

i just hope slightly mad studios comes to their senses and sticks to what they know and that's making simulation racers. hopefully this sparks them to make gtr3 or something.

Same problem for me when hitting walls and/or other cars. Total slowdown. Runs like butter for me otherwise at 5040*1050.

My system: C2D E8500 @ 3.5, GTX295, 8GB DDR2, Vista 64, Tweaked Matox driver and old Nvidia drivers.
