Hi s0ands0 ... welcome to the forum ... :D

Please could you modify your sig/System specs to meet the rules ...

From the Profile page ...
Signature:

Please keep the text (colored text is fine) between sizes 9 and 11 (using BB Code). Run your specs horizontally (rather than vertically), and limit to four lines at normal forum width.

Yeah I just tried HL2, it doesn't have a crosshair. I'm going to install Smod Tactical to see if that works.

HL2 EP1 has a crosshair, albeit it doesn't have the quick info things that show your health and ammo.

HL2 EP2 is in the same boat as EP1.

I just received a reply from Steam support on this problem:

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. We are aware of the problem and are currently working on a fix for it.

We hope to have all of the known issues taken care of fairly soon.

So I'm an idiot and completely forgot that SMod: Tactical doesn't have crosshairs in favor of iron sights. D'OH!

I noticed the same problem replaying HL2 the other week. I Have the orange box version, but its all fully patched according to steam.
