Why??

I dont mean this in a derogatory way for guys that have it. I have 3x24's and a 30". My wife wants me to move the 30" from where it is so I am figuring ot what to do with it.

I could mount it above my 24's but what can I do with it? my th2go is games only so it would have to have some sort of gaming benefit but I don't know what?

It would be cool if I could put charts and stuff on it for IL2 but I am not really sure how it can help with games.

I have seen a few pics of people with this setup, so why? how can you make use of it other then an extended desktop?

Buy a 2nd computer and hook it up to the 30" while you're playing games on the TH. That is what I do. Got a pic of your rig now?

Thanks Ibrin, I had a spare computer but now its going to be dedicated for my cnc machine..

Heres a pic, a bit older as its now got a bunch of flightsim stuff attached.

I can modify the stand I made if I need to - if there turns out to be a really good benefit.

If you put the 30" on top, that won't do any good. It's simply making the big and mighty 30" monitor useless. Putting it on top is not an ergonomically ideal position. If you have a bigger table, you can just align all four of them.

This was my old 4 monitor set up

In my even older set up, I used to put my 4th monitor on top of the three by drilling it to the wall but I realize that it's not productive at all. So I placed them all four side by side.

an off-game monitor can be used for lots of stuff, like instant messaging, browsing, watching movies and the like.

Cant speak for racing or flightsims, but as I was playing World of Warcraft I found it beneficial to have guides, websites with info on the game or maps open on the additional screen.
watching a movie while fishing was also nice :D

if you are not into instant messaging and the like the only use I can think of would be displaying detailed maps of the whole track/level, although it would be a hussle to switch them if you are changing tracks/levels often.

or maybe some some interesting rss feeds on the game, if there are any
