Hello all.

Spent that last two days reading the site, Great stuff.

I first seen a TH2GO on youtube a year ago while playing WoW.
I said one day i will have it :D

Well today is that day.

I am at the moment building my new rig

Some System Specs

CPU :: I7 975EE
Mobo :: Evga x58 Classified
RAM :: Corsair Dominator GT 6GB
GPU :: ATI HD 4870x2 x2 In CrossfireX for 4 4870 total :D

etc

Now my questions are this.

Should i buy the Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition now or wait for the Matrox TripleHead2Go DP Edition.

If i get the Matrox TripleHead2Go DP Edition. Il need to find new GPUs with a DP on them and Monitors?

Can anyone recommend any monitors?

Also il am running win7

Thanks

The digital version is a known piece of hardware. With the DP version it's new and unknown. I'd suggest going with the known quantity, because I don't know of any displayport displays that have been checked for compatibility. Add to that, that you can get a digital version right now. The list of displays is a sticky in one of the surround gaming subforums. My personal recommendation is either Samsung or Dell.

Youll need DP GPUs and monitors, and this to play at 5040x1050 60Hz, while with the th2g DE you can play at 5040x1050 57Hz (simply buy 3 x 57 Hz compatible monitors and enjoy your 4870X2).

Well i have been doing some more digging and found this

http://www.displayport.org/consumer/?q=content/devices#pcmonitors

The thing thats peeing me off is. The Dell 2408WFP is only 260 Euro in the US but its 600 Euro here in Ireland.

Also ATI have said they are releasing DPorts on the next gen cards thats coming out soon.

Here is a list of GPUs out at the mo with DP

http://shopper.cnet.com/4566-8902_9-0-2.html?filter=502674_16848955_&tag=mncol;page

Maybe this is something i can wait and see or do i just go with it now.

5040x1050 60Hz Vs 5040x1050 57Hz Can you really tell?

Youll need new GPUs too, DP compatible - and no, you cannot tell the difference.

I'm currently building a new rig specifically to support TH2Go. I thought about going the Displayport route, but from what I've seen, display port cards are ridiculously expensive (at least here in the USA). I've seen them for over 1000 dollars.

I decided to just get the digital edition instead. Just trying to decide what kind of video cards to get next , 285gtx or 275 gtx, in sli configuration.
