I have a 30" monitor. One thing I hope not to sacrifice when I move to 3 monitors (using either AMD or NVIDIA, not sure yet which) is vertical resolution. Going from 1600 to 1080 seems like a noticeable loss of real estate, especially in flight sims where that means less of the clickable cockpit is visible onscreen.

So, I am hoping that today's most powerful cards (or those soon to be released) are/will be up to the task of running 3 30" monitors for 7560x1600 resolution gaming with smooth (i.e., at least 25fps) performance. No need for anisotropic filtering and such at that resolution.

These are the games I expect to be playing on it:

Falcon 4 BMS
DCS A-10
Battlefield 3
Arma3
Bioshock Infinite
Elder Scrolls Skyrim
X3 Terran Conflict
X Rebirth
Dead Island
Red Orchestra 2
Mass Effect 3
Prey 2
Rage

You might be able to with a crossfire Radeon HD 6990 (as in 2x cards), but I wouldn't count on getting very good performance.

Wait till the new top of the line ATi 7900 series come out. And probably have a pair of them for a guarantee of smooth frame rates.

your question? No.
Can you make the settings in game to where you get playable framerate? Yes.

This coming from a guy who runs said resolution.
