Post subject:  Having issues with The Witcher 2 and Skyrim

Hello everyone. I'm new to multi monitor gaming so I apologize if this has already been covered but I'm having some weird issues with The Witcher 2 and Skyrim. The Witcher 2 seems to be fine but when I select my resolution and go to actually play the game will only load up on my center monitor @ native 1920x1080 resoluton. The side monitors are active but there's no image.

For Skyrim I changed the resolution in my preferences to 5760x1080. I get a weird graphical bug. Everything is distorted. It's like the game renders my position in the wrong spot. For instance when I walk forward with W the screens will move as if I'm moving sideways using D. I see fireplace and peoples eyes in random weird spot on the screen. I've read the posts on Skyrim and it doesnt sound like anyone else is having this problem.

I play BF3 and Deus Ex without any issues (aside from the issues everyones having with BF3). It just seems to be these two games

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi konga56, :welcome .
There was another user with a similar issue here at WSGF when running Skyrim, please try the following :

1- Delete SkyrimPrefs at C:Users...DocumentsMy GamesSkyrim (you may backup it first), and use my .ini instead, its set to 5760x1080.

http://widescreengamingforum.com/f/u/SkyrimPrefs.zip

2- Run the game.

I dont have TW2 installed so i cant help you know, please post back if Skyrim runs fine for you or not after you try this .ini, cheers.

Post subject:  I'm afraid to tell you, that

I'm afraid to tell you, that CD Projekt Red, the developer of The Witcher 2 refuses to support Eyefinity, while they fully support nVidia's (3D) Vision Surround. There is a long thread in the official forum about this: http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22241-nvidia-vision-surround-support-but-no-eyefinity-support-why/

There is a tool for The Witcher 2 which opens up Eyefinity support, but it only works till Patch v1.2. Hayden hasn't patched it since then nor did he say whether it is still possible, as the developers made some changes since then (Current Patch is v2.0). If you do not own the Steam copy, chances are good that you can play with v1.2 and Haydens Tool in full Eyefinity glory.

"fully support" is a load of crap, cause in 2d nvidia surround i still cant get it to work right.
only fix i found is for 1.2 as well, but im on v2.0 now... *sigh* guess im gonna reload and vamp back.

and Actually Both of these issues have their own individual threads. the skyrim one is (as of now) right at the top of the list and constantly updated, you can search for the witcher 2 one as well.

Post subject:  For Skyrim I think I found

For Skyrim I think I found the issue. If I choose any other preset graphic setting above normal i get the issue. But if I change the preset to medium or low it works fine. I think I'll have to fiddle aorund with each individual setting to see exactly what is causing it.

As for the Witcher 2 i reinstalled it and it seems to work now. However a new problem arised. On my third monitor there is a bar of white dots going down the middle. If I open the ingame menu the dots go away. They also go away during cut scenes. They only are present during actual game play. As you can imagine this can get quite anying.

I found the problem with Skyrim. Whenever i change anti aliasing above 2x i get the issue. All other settings are on maxed. Whether its through the game or enabled in nvidia control panel i get the weird issue if anti aliasing is set too high.

Im expecting to receive my a GTX 590 soon. Hopefully its just an issue with my video cards.

Thanks, I had the same issue. Turning AA down to 2x solves the problem!

I have a GTX 590, so sorry to tell you that your new card won't solve the issue.
