Hello all,

2 Months ago I upgraded my PCs to a band new Ivy Bridge CPU on a new case, it's basically a band new system, just kept some data hard drives, power supply and my 2 x EVGA GTX 570 1.2 GB Ram Video Cards, I chose not to upgrade my video cards since they seemed work well for the games i was playing back then at 5924 x 1200 at max setting (mostly WoW), I was thinking on upgrading them a little bit later on.

I've been playing The Secret World these last 2 weeks and that game has some heavy duty graphics, my jaw still drops from time to time with all the detail on the graphics.....looks like my 2 old video cards don't cut it anymore, game is not 100% optimized yet also, but I feel my video system is far from running that game on 3 screens, I can only play maxed on 1 Screen at 1920 x 1200, I noticed that the game also using 1.2 GB of my video card memory at 1920 x 1200, so i guess this the reason to upgrade i was waiting for....

I just noticed there are a bunch of new video cards with 4 GB ram now, I read that those are for us widescreen gamers.

what video cards do you guys recommend for my high end widescreen gaming system, i can afford up to 2 x GTX 680 FTW+ Cards, if they are really worth it, but if that it's just wasting money I'll consider other options, what do you guys think?

Heres the newegg.com search for 4 GB Cards on Nvidia 600 Series, there's a lot of 680 flavors now from EVGA, 670 Superclocked, 680 Standard, 680 TW and 680 FTW+

my New rig specs: i7 3770K @ 4.5 Ghz + 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance 1866 Mhz Ram, Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard, Crucial m4 256 GB SSD + Corsair h100 Cooler + HAF X Case + 3 x Dell Ultrasharp 24" Monitor + 2 x EVGA GTX 570 1.28 GB Ram Video Cards, full specs on the link on my signature

thanks in advance

I would probably say go with the best you can afford, but the 670 is a lot of the % the performance, for a much lower % of the cost. IMO that is where the "value" lies. IMO by the time a GTX670 struggles, it will also be that the 680 will struggle too. I heard someone say that you get about 95% of the performance with a 670, and say for example it got 30FPS. You would only expect about 32FPS from a 680. Best to save the money IMO :)
