ahh right, it's now called Ultra HD and not 4k or quad HD anymore...
Well i did press the link... but i was so astonished by the black/green Forum design.... i didn't read a single word ^^
hum, 3x uHD would be 12k wide.... dx9(10 also ? ) pixel limit is 8k. dx11 works up to 16k pixel.
But Nvidia surround should work with 3x uHD display right ? Using 3x Titan with DP out.
LOL... I agree with the forum thing, one thing that ATI cards seem to do better than Nvidia is handle super high res (and multi monitor setups)
but im pretty sure dx9 can go upto 20 million pixels. I was pushing 6400x3072 (approx 19 million) from a single 7970 reference card (I had 2 in cf but not usable by softTH so i got myself a sapphire vapor-x 6gb and will see how that goes
)
And with the 3x titans...... well yeah got to be kinda jelous (I love my 7970's though
)but with 3 new gpus and 18gb ram at ur disposal you may be surprised what they can handle. A SINGLE 7970 ref @stock speeds runs fallout 3, deus ex:hr, skyrimm and other games (I know they not the latest) at 25-30fps @ 6400x3072 (much better when i turn it down to 4800x1800) and that is only 3gb ram so 12000x2000 is about 24 million pixels, you probably wont get 60+ fps but you will be able to play, might have to run dx9 or turn things down (like AA, etc..) but that is a MONSTER RIG.
Right now im playing with a 9 monitor eyefinity setup (using 2x 7970 ref in xfire) pushing only 3840x3072 (approx 11.8 million pixels) and farcry 3 blood dragon (dx11 with optimal setting- everything is high to very high, only shadows is med) is holding 30 fps (occasionally dips to 26) but i am thinking of going tri-fire but if you have 3 TITANS, im sure you will be pleasantly surprised with whatever you throw at it
PS what cpu & mobo & RAM are you using?
