Hey Guys,

I've got 3x Iiyama ProLite T2250MTS monitors plugged in to my 2 560 Ti's but when I run them in Surround, the touchscreen calibration goes mental and any touch input is WAAAAY away from target. I've tried Windows 7 and 8, both the same result. I've even spoken with a tech guy from iiyama who gave up!

Anyone else seen this and figured it out?

Need a little bit more information regarding what's happening. As far as I know, I haven't seen a successful tri-touchscreen. So I'm not sure if it's possible. I'm assuming there's an issue between the touchscreen calibration software not properly differentiating between absolute and relative position. That is, it (like many GAMES suffer from) assumes everything is occurring across a single screen. If it's possible, you might have to use separate software to isolate 3 separate areas with 3 separate input devices, so that each touch screen matches the screen it's on top of. Again, this is an assumption as you haven't described the detailed nature of the problem, but I figure the software is trying to control the cursor across all 3 screens at once, assuming it's a single screen. Whereas, a single touch screen is only large enough to fill 1/3rd of that area. Is that what you're experiencing?

Also, please be patient when you're working in niche territory. I have a 5x1P setup and, trust me, it got frustrating for a while. I had to develop my own solution to get 1080p and lower res 4:3 games to work without issue, and it took almost a year before I found the software I needed to make the hack functional. If it's possible, it's likely you'll have to do some figuring out of things for yourself. Perhaps you can coax the company you're dealing with into integrating direct multiscreen support, as the issue sounds like one of software. Otherwise, it seems you'll have to find other pieces of software to get your situation working. Remember, it took me a year. But that's what you need to expect when few people are doing what you're doing. You have a unique setup, my friend.

Well said Zencyde, there does not appear to be many users in this market, as such it would appear that the manufactures whom release the touch display drivers have not considered users with multiple of these displays, less so for when using a surround display.

From what it sounds like, and this is purely speculation, it sounds like the touch interface is trying to control a 5760x1080 desktop using a 1920x1080 matrix, this matrix is then stretched to accommodate the 5760x1080 resolution by dividing the horizontal of the touch matrix by 3, thus behaving that the left 3rd should control the left monitor, middle 3rd the middle monitor and the right 3rd for the right hand monitor.

With correctly coded drivers it is possible to support multiple touch screen devices on a windows PC, as has been tested in our office previously.

EDIT: just tested this again...
When simply switching from duplicate display to extended display the touch matrix remains in a cloned/duplicated state, however you can setup touch display to work with multi mon by....

press windows key / start
type "tablet"
click settings on the right
click "tablet pc settings"
in the window that pop up, click setup
select touch option
then touch each monitor.

This will make each monitor touch work only on the monitor its used on.

This works great for multi monitor, but may not work so well for Surround where the desktop is 1 large display, however that should get you a step closer to being able to use your hardware the way you intended to.

Touchscreen goes mental?

I really wonder what that looks like! Do you have a video camera? You think you could open Paint in fullscreen over 3 Monitors and then touch different points on the touch screens ? (with a big red pen ^^) this would show how the input is drawn.
