I feel for you :(

What OS are you running ? How much RAM ? Any overclocked components ?

I would test the card on a single screen, using Furmark for example, and maybe check the system's RAM with memtest...

Hi and thank you for your help! I have put together a complete new system with the following components:

CPU Q9550
Asus P5Q deluxe Mobo
Mushkin 2x2GB 800Mhz DDR2 Ram
OCZ GameXStream 850W
OS Windows Vista 32

I will test the card this evening with only one screen. I already have cheked the RAM with memtest and the test shows no errors. Everything is still on default settings. Nothing overclocked.

My problem is solved after I have received a e-mail from Asus yesterday.

The problem is located between Quadcore CPU´s (or maybe other 45nm CPU´s) and the P5Q-Series Motherboards. The default settings of the P5Q-Series motherboards were responsible for the odd system behaviour.
With BIOS-Update from version 0803 to 1103 Asus has introduced the "CPU Margin Enhancement". But unfortunately this enhancement causes problems with Quadcore CPU´s.
The solution is to either flash your BIOS back to Version 0803 or to set the "CPU Margin Enhancement" to "Performance Mode". I have set it to "Performance Mode" and not one freeze or bluescreen afterwards. :D

Glad you fixed it and didn't have to replace the X2 and/or TH2G :)
Thanks for the detailed workaround, Asus mobos being (alas) so popular, I'm sure it'll come in handy.

Any feedback, folks ?

Hopefully my second and third ws monitors will arrive next week so I can go back to fully testing the X2 and this new software in TripleWideHead...
