Hi all, I've been using dual EVGA Geforce GTX 470's in SLI for quite a few years. My setup is feeling its age and I am looking for a reasonable upgrade path. I've looked at the PNY GTX 750 2GB @ $150 but I don't know if I will be spending money just to break even or if I will get a reasonable boost out of it. I just am not sure what are the most important specs for my type of games (MMORPGs). The games I play are: Guild Wars 2 Elder Scrolls Online SWTOR My bezel corrected resolution is 5040x1050. Here is a link to my current pair of cards http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130550 Here is a GTX 750 that I bought for my kid's computer and honestly I've been pretty impressed with it's performance (single monitor thought). http://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-nvidia-geforce-gtx-750-2gb-gddr5-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card/6955228.p?id=1219243024152&skuId=6955228 Will buying 2 750s give me a nice jump with these games or will I be trading one bottleneck for another? Is there something else I should consider? Thanks! |

Two 750? SLI/Crossfire is only a valid solution if there is no reasonable stronger GPU. I'm sure you've also had a few Problems with games not working as they should or drivers missing. Btw we have 2015 now. Why a gtx750? Gtx 950 is the new generation. And if you need two of them you're around 300$, that's enough for a AMD R9-390. At the same price range is the nVidia GTX 970 but as you might have heard NVidia only uses 3.5gb+0.5gb on this card. This MIGHT not be a problem or MIGHT become a problem. You can read a lot about that on the Internet. Still it's not recommended to buy a partially broken product. Oh yeah, and I don't think you will get more than 10-20% FPS plus from two 750 over two 470. The Thermi Chip in the 470 was fairly hot but also somewhat powerfully. But that's just my guess and no validated fact |

Thank you for the info Haldi! I noticed only 2 DVI ports on the 970's but I'm not sure about the functionality of the other ports (if they work in conjunction of both DVI ports), were you suggesting the 970 because it can run three monitors? If there is a single card that can push 5040x1050 in three monitors I'd consider it. I will also do some research on the GTX 950's. |

on the new Generation nVidia Cards and AMD cards you don't need SLI anymore to run 3 Monitors, a GTX 960, 970, 980 or AMD R7-370, R9-380 or R9-290 can do that. |

Only issue I foresee is that all 3 of my monitors are DVI/VGA only. So if I were to buy a card such as this GTX 970... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125684 ...would it be best to use both DVI ports and an adapter to convert one of the DisplayPorts to DVI for the third or would another configuration be better performing or feasible? |

if you have 1920x1080 60hz Monitors a DP-DVI Adapter will do perfectly fine. If you run 144hz you mostl likely would need an active Dual Link adapter, not sure how well the 970 handles passive DP-DVI adapters. But i tought it would. |

All three monitors are just the old 1680x1050 @59Hertz, so this should be easy to make work then? |

hi.. so it means a single card of GTX 970 can handle the triple monitor gaming without a problem? im only using a ordinary 60Hz monitor.. (Zotac Geforce ZT-90101-10P GTX 970 4Gb 256 Bit Ddr5) i hope this card is fine, its the only card i can afford ($310 in my country and it is installment . Philippines) |

GTX 980 Ti. The finest choice. DJI Mavic Pro or Mavic Pro Platinum? Check this comparison to find out. |
