Hey,

BF Hardline fully supports 21:9 in Closed Beta.

Looks like FOV is different. In the 21x9 or top picture everything looks farther away.

In the video settings screen you can use a built in FOV slider that spans from 60/70 all the way up to 120.

I'm at work now, but I can take a picture of the settings screen when I get home.

I have BF4 and have seen the setting screen but thanks anyway!

I guess what I question is if the FOV setting is the same in both pictures? If they are then why does the 21x9 appear father away?
If the FOV are different it would be nice to see with the FOV the same.

The distance to the objects should be the same if the FOV is the same. You should just see more of the objects on the outside parts of the screen with the 21x9 because of the extra res.

I hope I am being somewhat clear.

I don't touched the FOV settings. Only changed the resolution. But it's a good question if BF automatically adjust the FOV depending on the resolution.

Can we get enough screenshots and info to do a complete database entry?

It just seems that you getting the extra res on the 21x9 screen from an increase in horizontal fov even though you are not changing it. If I am correct the distance to the objects should be the same if the fov is the same between 16x9 and 21x9. Then you should just see the extra res on the sides of the 21x9.

I do see that the objects based on the vertical res are the same between the two pics.

It would be interesting if you took the same pic on the 16x9 screen and increase the fov to 110 or so. Or better yet what fov does it take at 16/9 to get the same relative distance to the objects in the 21/9 shot.

Looks to me that you are not getting the extra res. They are just increasing the fov.

As you can see. The FoV settings does not change. Stay always at 70. It seems that the FoV between the 21:9 and 16:9 / 16:10 screens are different. But if you download the pictures and switch them through, you can see, that the FoV stay the same. Good to see at the white trailer.

Thanks for doing the work on this.

On last favor if I can ask. Leave the 16x10 out and take the same screenshots but now take the 16x9 and increase FOV until the distance to the main object like the trailer is the same between 21x9 and 16x9. It might take a 100-110 fov.

So you would have 3 pics- once stock 21x9 at 70 fov and stock 16x9 at 70 fov and a third 16x9 with fov that most closely resembles the fov in the stock 21x9 screen.

Would be great to see how this looks. To me the white trailer should be the same distance in all 3 pics but just adding the extra 600 res in the width of the 21x9 screen.

Thanks for the help and staying in the thread.
