Ok guys,
Lock and load those thompsons again.
Day of Defeat : Source was released today, along with the Call of Duty 2 Demo. I took a break from the Angels vs. A's game to play both games.
My thoughts in a nutshell:
Sign me up! :D
I remember getting my broadband connection right at the time the original COD came out, and i've been a big fan ever since. This latest addition to the pedigree is an absolute awe to behold graphically and experientially its as fun and engrossing as its forebear. I love the way your squadmates have their own personalites, and the lovingly detailed and crafted levels, weapons, and in-game effects. The video options allow you to set 16:10 aspect right off the bat, too.
I also played DOD:S today and had an equally fun time online. Both games seem stellar to me, well worth playing. Its a great time to be a WW-II FPS gamer.
I've been playing DoD on and off for a few years. I prepurchased so I could play right away today and what can I say....It's good to be back, baby! Great graphics, sounds, off the wall physics. Very nicely balanced weapons with some new additions. A much need facelift for a venerable engine. So far i'm very impressed and feel it was well worth the wait.
