I'm not even sure if the Creation Kit allows you to mod the UI.

Would be nice to not need a patch from Hayden and Helifax every time steam updates.

Will play around with the CK when i get home from work.

Hello all again,

I made some modifications for resolution detection, HUD Width and HUD offset calculations and Now supports every configuration from 2 monitors to 1000001 monitors:)

Now for a 5 monitor config the hud will appear on the 3rd monitor.
Now for a 2 monitor config the hud will appear half on 1st monitor and half on the 2nd monitor (In the center of the whole rendered image).

Thanks for the attention to my unique situation, Helifax! It's definitely calculating the offset right now, but just to make things difficult, it's still only displaying on the one monitor.

When I put the following inputs in the config section: 2 monitors, 2048x768 uncorrected resolution, 2048x768 corrected resolution, it then says the following in the status window: HUD Offset: 512, HUD Width: 1024. That's correct. However, the HUD ends up looking like the attached images. I've tried this both with and without SkyUI and SKSE and got the same effect. Am I doing something wrong? I really don't quite understand what the corrected and uncorrected resolutions should be set to.

Also, like many, I owe you beers. You should have a donate link!

Anyone else notice a jump in framerates after moving to 3 monitors?

With one @ 1080 i would get 30-35FPS with a massive amount of mods added. Now @ 3500x1920 i am receiving 50-60FPS throughout the entire game with the same mods loaded :D

BTW thanks Helifax for the fix! Menus in portrait are still a little big but not terrible :D

Ahaa!!!! nice! That is indeed what it should does. By the look of the screenshots half ot the problem looks OK. And ofc I managed to see where the error is in the above screenshot;))
One important question: Are you using SoftTH for example? to display the game on 2 screens? When configuring the plugin did you put in 2 monitors as number?

I will change somethings and if you are willing to test it, it would be awesome;)) (I dont have a 2 monitors setup)
I will send you a PM with a new version;)) when I have it;))

Best Regards,
Helifax

PS: for the link..is there in my signature;))

Cool, Helifax. I did put 2 as the monitor number and I am using a TH2G digital edition for the monitor combo, so Windows should treat it as a single screen. That doesn't stop some games from omitting the right side of the UI, but I haven't seen that outside of Source games, and this time the UI is just scrunched to the one side, so that's different.

I'd definitely be up for being the guinea pig, so send that stuff my way and I'll give it a go.

I believe that the 1.4 Skyrim patch significantly optimized the game.

Hi all,

I have read the detailed report and a lot of the recent posts here and still have one basic question. What is the difference when playing the game between Hayden's and Helifax's fixes?

I tried Helifax's fix when the game first came out and never got it to work.

I am currently using Hayden's just fine on v1.3 and the skyui mod and am fat dumb and happy. (I have steam set to offline mode and just do not reconnect.)

I am thinking of upgrading to 1.4 and getting the texture pack, framerate increase and such.

But I am worried that I might not like the difference in play with the new fix. Hayden's was a great "click and forget" type fix. I thought I read Helifax's fix needed to be toggled at different points n the game. Is this still the case? and is it a pain in the rear to do?

Thanks for any feedback. And thanks to the authors for finishing the game as Bethsoft should have.

Thanks!
