Looks like they just fixed the games explorer problem, but lets hope its more than that.

I have not had any luck getting dev attention on my thread on there forums to let me know the bug has been notated and will be looked into.

Its probably a really easy fix too, maybe one we can fix with editing the config files and increasing view distance or dynamic shadow range or something like that.

I also made a post to your thread to social.bioware.

It was great of you to mention the problem in the official forum.

Also I fail to understand the logic behind "since I don't use it they don't need to fix it" but I trust the people in Bioware, a great company which steadily has produced excellent and well working titles.

This doesnt seem to be getting the attention it deserves, its kinda off the radar over at bioware as far as I can tell and pretty much any post I get that can bump the topic is just a troll.

Can someone point me to a specific list of issues when running triple-wide?

I'm not sure anyone currently has a list going, but we can create one here..

1. Foliage and Trees disappear with camera rotation when running in landscape eyefinity

Here's a small example -

I circled the affected areas -

This issue is bigger than just grass, though.. trees disappear in the same way and don't always come back when you rotate the camera back to its original position.

You can end up running into invisible trees. If I run in portrait with my 3x 23" displays at 3240x1920, the pop-in issue does not occur, so i suspect it has to do with draw distance and ultra-wide aspect ratios.

Bioware fixed the cutscenes issue that existed in 1.0 by centering them on the center display. However, disappearing objects prevents many of us from wanting to play the game in eyefinity long enough to discover additional issues, if they exist.

My videos are short and nothing nice but it does a really good job of showing the problem.

Its the same area loaded from a save, look at the 1920x1200 vs 5760x1200 videos.

In the Eyefinity mode you will see the background poping in & out really bad, but even worse than that if you pay close attention to the 1920x1200 video first is that over half of the foliage and plant life is just totally gone off the map.

Easy to spot at the lake bed I walk to at the end of the video, in the 1920x1200 its full of flowers, trees, and other design elements to make it look realistic and attractive. On Eyefinity its just a grass plain with a plot of water.

The patch works great for dialog and cutscenes. You can find it here: http://social.bioware.com/game_patches.php

Only problem now is you can't move the hotbar to the center monitor in-game. Dunno if there's a way to fix this another way, but it's really annoying having the hotbar on the far left monitor. Sure, you can drag it over, but then you lose the hotkeys(eg, 1-9) and are limited to clicking on spells.

Has there been a fix to add user interface there by alloying you to move the hot bar yet? Other than the hot bar and charecters being on the left and the option on the right the game plays great.

I don't think the hotbar itself being on the side monitors is as annoying as only being able to hotkey the first 10 items of the hotbar.. my mage characters easily had 20+ slots being used, I actually used more than 10 spells routinely in battles, and even my warriors got over 10 towards the end as they picked up tons of abilities.

For those people experiencing objects disappearing at distance I suppose playing in tactical mode more (zoom out) then there is no graphical glitching. That's the recommended way to play anyway except when you want to snipe archer someone at a long distance.

I know this is crazy old, but did this ever get solved?

The game is just unplayable for me with this issue.
