Hi all!

I'm looking for some suggestions to make an eyefinity setup.
I want to be using 3 monitors, about 23" (the bigger the better :P, but on low budget unfortunately)?
My graphics card is sapphire 5970.
This card has 1x mini-DP and 2x DVI ports.
The monitor I found is the following one: (Acer V233HAbd)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009243&cm_re=Acer-_-24-009-243-_-Product

I wanted to use 2x DVI-DVI cable, and one VGA -> DP -> mini-DP (an active one i think).
The 2 adapters i found are the following ones:
(VGA - DP adapter active from Sapphire)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815310003&Tpk=sapphire%20displayport
(DP - mini-DP adapter)
http://estore.circuitassembly.com/products/Male-Mini-Displayport-to-Female-Displayport-Adapter-Cable.html

Any1 know if this is a good choice and if this will work? Or maybe some1 have some better ideas? (I tried figure out as much as possible, but so many possibilities that I get confused :P)

Thx!

Should work. :)

There is good feedback on the Sapphire adapter and mini-dp to DP should only be passthrough without any significant signal loss.

The Sapphire one is close to impossible to get in my country (Netherlands) it seems totally overpriced (40-50 euro) or not in stock at all.

Does anyone know if the following cable will work aswell?
(Startech VGA to mini Displayport cable)

Mind that the Sapphire = Bizlink = ACCELL i still have problems with my B087B-003J and have to work with the Apple one. And i saw Delphium http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19971 had problems with the Bizlink..

Active DP-DVI is still a minefield if you ask me..

I had one instance where my 5970 and ACCELL combo did not blink (not accounting for sub 10.4 drivers) when i connected all three monitors to my 2nd 5970.. (Sapphire OC version). Still want to swap cards around, but all my watercooling tubes hold me back from doing it  .

I think 40-50 euro is really cheap compared to the 129 i paid for my ACCELL!!

129 Is quite a bunch of money indeed for just an adapter (why are they so expensive? are they that complicated to produce?)
Unfortunately I'm to late with the monitors, they were on sale for 129 euro each, and now the sale ended for an unknown reason :'( (now they're 167 each).

So I'm going for a different monitor now, a Samsung one: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/office/monitors/business/LS22CBKABV/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail

22" Monitor, 1680x1050 and costing 161 euro each.

Anyone has a clue if this is a decent monitor? I haven't been able to find reviews about it online :(
From the pictures & speccs on the Samsung website it looks awesome imo.

Dunno, but what i read from the website Samsung has really something special with their "magic angle"
Love to watch movies lying down or while you’re cooking dinner? The Samsung's MagicAngle uses 5-step angle management to deliver crisp images and bold color from every direction. So whether your view is from above, below or from the side, images stay the same.
Yes, i really love to cook dinner when i'm lying on the floor..

If you're not in a hurry with the DP cable,
than buy this one: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.27603

I have http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.37089 and that works for me :)

Its very cheap, but normally +-2 weeks shipping time
