Hello,

I'm looking for a program that will allow me to save display profiles so I can switch from "Extended desktop mode" (for every day Windows use) to "Surround mode" (for Gaming use). I'm hoping it will store Icon positions too as it's a bit of a hassle to re-organise them all when switching between the two modes.

You used to be able to do this with Nvidia's Nview but I believe its not supported since Vista and I'm now on Windows 7.

I am currently using Ultramon at the moment for Extended desktop mode, this has profiles but it doesn't switch it between Extended desktop mode and Surround Mode, it just seems to change resolutions.

Does anyone know any software that will do this as I've search high and low but cannot find anything?

Regards
David

Depending on how often you switch from separate to surround (SLI). you may want to try out some of my tips for staying in surround mode 7/24 (follow the link in my sig). If you read through the post others post helpful comments and workarounds also, but I find it just takes too much effort to switch back and forth, I have been in surround mode 7/24 for two months now and am quite used to it...

Hi,
Yeah I found your post before and followed some of the tips but its not for me, but I really don't like it.

I like my start menu in the middle (the original start menu), I like the systray in the middle also, and ultramon is amazing for putting apps on the taskbar in the monitor they are active in. There's other things as well but I just prefer Extended desktop mode with the default monitor being the middle one.

Thanks though.

I think we're gonna have to wait for Surround to mature first. Hopefully the nVidia driver devs involved with Surround are keeping an eye out. ;)
