Hi guys,

I got U3011 today and it was awesome. I was just wondering if I could set up PLP monitors with 2 X U221H and U3011. I need to know the dimension of U221H. I cannot tell if it's gonna match the U3011's top and bottom bezel.

Need your input.

Thanks in advance.

You can run PLP in an extended display mode where windows will see each indivudal monitor for what it is.
If you would like to game in a PLP setup then the only way to currently do this is...
A) use SoftTH
or
B) run the game in windowed mode and then stretch it to fill your desktop (note not all games are happy to run larger than the primaray monitor when in windowed mode).

ATI/AMD Eyefinity & Nvidia Surround do not currently support PLP setups for a spaned display.

Yeah thanks for the reply. But I meant to say will the portrait mode of U2011H match the landscape mode of U3011's top and bottom bezel? It doesn't have to be perfect. Just about near perfect matching on these bezels lol.

I have neither or those monitors, but the dell 2007fp is typically used for P-L-P with the 3007wfp-hc. looks like the overall bezel size of the newer dells haven't changed too much.

the width of the 2007FP is 17.5" (which would be the height when rotated)
the width of the 2211H is 20.25"

so i'm guessing that when rotated the bezel difference will be about 3"-ish.....

It wont line up that well. the u3011 is 18.95" high.

Your best bet is to use a 2007FP getting panels ending with "L" in their serial numbers (Those are S-IPS Panels, not the PVA's)

Thanks for that then it's not good. I was hoping it would be less than 1 inch.
