Auto Assault is not out yet, however it is one of this year's possible sleeper hits. It's a post-apocalyptic MMO focusing on vehicular combat and action oriented gameplay.
AA is not completely twitch based like an FPS, but somewhere in between Twisted Metal and Guild Wars. And yes, you can get out of the cars.
I was randomly asking questions in the forums and the project lead was kind enough to answer (I thought only Cryptic did that).
About widescreen support:
"You can run the game at just about any resolution you want. We demo at 1920x1080 full Anti-Aliased and it runs great.
We split up the UI so it does not strech and we can adjust the FOV as well. "
Sounds very nice, I personally can't wait for the game, just wanted to share.
Besides, how many MMOs out there utilize havok physics, have fully destructable environments, cars that turn into robots, cars that turn into toxic ghosts, cars that turn into... you get the idea =)
