Any solution?

It's being worked on. Kaldaien, see the post above yours, is working on bringing out a 21:9 fix in the next iteration of his program. We'll most likely see something in the next few days, but I don't think there will be anything today or tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong :P

Well, thanks your prompt response and work...

I wonder if it will be safe of Softbans...
I mean, Flawless WS never caused a softban to me on Dark Souls II, but I am quite fearful about these things :(

EDIT: I'm confident a fix for nVidia Surround will be arriving!

Well, I tried but have no idea how to fix this game... It uses it's internal rendering RECT pretty much like all previous games...
Maybe somebody else has a clue...

This is interesting: https://www.reddit.com/r/darksouls3/com ... rt/d21mcf1

Kind of like IRalther's friend. It glitched out and the game was rendering ultrawide properly. Edit: Oh, just saw another one

I've been playing, and loving, this game at an unfortunate 16:9 ratio, though I would like to voice my opinion that I would extol and provide recompense somehow for whomever can provide a proper fix to this situation! I was planning on boycotting the game until an official patch for 21:9 appeared, though I was overwhelmed by the positive receptions of the game and decided I'd like to play it regardless. I'm glad I did, though it would be absolutely lovely to be playing on a native aspect ratio and resolution. Thank you in advance to any and all trying to crack this nut!

I wonder if the game is constantly being rendered behind the black bars as some of the people on reddit suggested from their own 'glitched' experience that let them play the game in 21:9.

SO I had the theory that the online mite be the problem here , do to that I get kick from online mod immediately when my fps drops below 60 in the main menu , and they have put up the black bars on 21:9 screen setting so everyone can play at 60fps all the time so no one experience lag?

I am going to admit I am not the best att computers , but I tried out this by starting steam in offline mod and then launching Dark souls 3
When I was going to load my save the loading took much longer time than normal and when it finished , I had full screen
Image
Unfortunately when I turn off my game and tried the same thing aggen the bars were back , so mabby thes have nothing to do with it , but it mite be a suggestion to people to try and play in offline and se if it happens for you too.

Yeah, I've seen some other people theorizing online may have something to do with it. It also seems the game is being rendered behind the black bars if you choose a 21:9 ratio, so I'd suggest using a 16:9 resolution in the settings for a possible performance bump (haven't tested this yet).

I'm totally relying on you guys to add 21:9, after playing both Souls games with your modded versions I feel trapped in a box playing DS3 at 16:9. Don't give up skeleton!

I hope the 21:9 fix can also allow a 5:4 - 1280 x 1024 implementation. Widescreen Fixer worked wonders for Dark Souls 1 and FlawlessWidescreen worked perfectly for Dark Souls 2 and SotFS. I prefer more squared monitors and older fixes allowed me to utilize it fully. I thought that Dark Souls 3 used the Dark Souls 2 engine and it would be easy but it doesn't seem so. I can't pitch in right away but I start work at a new job next week so I hope to be able soon.
