Just got this but the cfg file isnt sticking with 1280x720 when I change it. Dont know what to add for widescreen or any tricks. Any help appreciated. Have been reading here alot and gotten all my games to work in widescreen but this one. Hence the registration and post. So a warm hello frome and a special thanks to all who contribute, which maybe I can now too. Thanks.

I can't remember the details (it's late), but I know some folks were working on a solution that was unsatisfactory at best. They got the game screen to fill the panel/TV, but it caused overscan (meaning some of the buttons weren't accessible on the screen).

That was the best I remember. Try doing a search for "Pirates" and you'll get a thread that's got all there is to know, at this point...

Yeah - when using a widescreen res, Pirates! does fill the screen, but the top and bottom vanish off the panel. Not conducive to being able to play... ;)

Did the search and it seems still no fix?

Here's the thread:

Because it wasn't a solution, it was never moved to Solutions. ;)
