And performance... (before final optimalization)

http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=36803
The game was running in DirectX 10 mode on 32-bit Vista. The code may still have some infant illnesses but it looks great on a G80, Geforce 8800 GTX, Core 2 duo and it provides 60 FPS+, at almost all times. It certainly works and looks much better than Rainbow [buggy] Six Vegas.

Well someone would like to ask, in what resolution? Noone knows it certainly except for those that did not mention it. I just can guess.. from the videos. Did they mean this ws Dell LCD? Can someone tell what size is it and what is its native resolution?

You will see it better in the videos. If they meant 1680x1050 or 1920x1080, highest possible quality and with 2xAA it would be fantastic.

EDIT: Youtube CES 2007 Crysis video showing , that there were probably (in my point of view) 20"widescreen LCDs, so i guess it was being played there in 1680x1050.

Another thing to mention: Mind the hud, it is compressed on widescreens so far.

And one more thing regarding release date:
http://www.destructoid.com/ces-2007-our-crysis-gameplay-29158.phtml
"..they've been working on the game for two and a half years so far, and that the game will be out in 2007. We ask for a month and he says summer or winter, making it clear he's not sure, so I don't expect it coming out until the end of the year."

Lets hope for Q2.

Another thing to mention: Mind the hud, it is compressed on widescreens so far.

I think it is only the radar that is compressed horizontally in recent vids ... I think it is meant to be like that.
If it were compressed vertically or stretched horizontally (like in BF2) I would be concerned.

It is interesting however that there are not many new screenshots to be found that have a HUD on them.

Oh ...and that -non widescreen pic on that post on inCrysis forums look very much like widescreen to me and how the game is currently looking ... ie. compressed radar but correct circle for scopes.

-non widescreen

Just some thoughts ...

Videointerview, where JM (Crysis team) says, that he hopes that the game will be published this year and "new feature" on the same site showing the progress of Crysis makes me believe, that we should expect the game to come out on Christmass 2007 most probably.

But who knows? Maybe they will make in 1st half of 2007.

This sounds interesting, doesn't it?

In an earlier article, it was reported that Crysis was running at 60+ fps for most of the time at CES 2007. In this new article, Jack Mamais tells techspot that the game is running at a resolution of 2048x1536...

I'm predicting that a mid-range DX10 card (8600GT / X2600XT) will run Crysis in DX10 better than any current DX9 rig running Crysis in DX9.
