after buying 2 additional monitors and installing SoftTH i ran into the Online-Bug of GTR2 :x

Offline everything works fine, but online it dropped me back to the Windows Desktop. If there are onle few people online (1-3) it works, but it fails when more people already on the server.

I tried lower resolutions (3x1440x900 instead of 3x1920x1200) , but without success.

Are there any fixes or hints to play online?

Thanks

hey ajax, i was running with some guys in my league and 3840x1024 res was working. there was a lot of people on the server and all was going fine. the next day we were gonna run a race but i kept getting a ctd when i tried to enter the game. thing was the main guy that runs the server put the server manager on and there was a problem with that was kicking me. he uninstalled the server manager from the server and i was able to join again with 3840x1024 res no probs. maybe all these problems is just related to the server manager.

Ok interesting!

What does the server manager do? Is the server manager not necessary to run a game on the server? Did you try an even higher resolution (5040x1050) without the server manager? :?:

well the server manager does stuff like keeps track records and things like that. it is not necessary to be able to race online with. and i only have 19" monitors so the highest res i can go is 3840x1024. i haven't had any problems since racing online with my native res since the server manager has been removed.

Ok thank you! I will ask the people responsible for the server if it is possible to race without the server manager and in that case give it a try.
