I did not see this anywhere else.

Bethesda is giving away their new sixth plugin for Oblivion free this week. Today the 21st is the last day.

It is around 10 mb.

They'll have a hard time charging for that DLC after the promotion period. The "content" of the pack is quite pathetic (the "siege" you have to break to earn the castle consists of a whopping 5 people) and the castle itself consists entirely of re-used elements. A far cry from the amazing Frostcrag Spire.

What a bloody disappointment Oblivon was. I had forgotten about the game until this post. So I had to post again how much I though that game sucked.

I am saving it for my son, and will let him play it when he is about 6. Should be about the right challenge level.

Phew. I completely forgot and as I type this it's actually Monday in my time zone (and Bethesda's for that matter), but luckily I was still able to get it.

Of course, I'm not sure I'll actually have time to play Oblivion ever again, but hey wouldn't want to miss out on free stuff just in case.

I haven't played more than 10% of the game, and I doubt I will, but I downloaded it just in case. Thank you for the heads up.

I really liked Shivering Isles, but Oblivion itself did start to get boring after a while. ;)

Yeah, I agree. I would much rather go back to a point and click style RPG like the Baldur's Gate games, than spend hours on Oblivion. It just wasn't rewarding enough for me. For one thing, once I reach huge levels, I want to be able to lord it over scummy Bandits, not be on equal levels with them.

This is one of the major reasons I never played the game for more than few hours.

ARCANUM FTW!

Hmm, I wonder if Arcanum has WS support.
