On an off note, anyone else think its sad for me but testament of the game's visually pleasing nature that I've spent a good chunk of my gaming this evening trying to score awesome screen shots and full screen videos of the Vats results with Fraps, then compiled a bunch into a few short clips with a video editor? :P I just love the style of this game, pure win. Haven't felt that way about an FPS since Serious Sam 1.

I didn't check the Pipboy or Comptuer displays in the 360 version, but I know the game was designed for 16:9, 1280x720. So if you're trying to correct it so it appears the way it was meant to be, then correct it to a 16:9 display. :)

Oh, and World at War support coming soon to WSF. :o

Oh thank god for that Fudgemaker. But the PipBoy is already fine isn't it? I'm pretty sure it was when I was playing last night anyway.

For regular widescreen this game works just great. The 2D computer terminals are in fact vert- but in regular 16:9 they don't get cut off, everything is still visible. It's only when we get a little crazy with the aspect ratio that we actually suffer from this problem.

Suh-weet, will have to take a break from Dead Space to play Fallout 3 triplewide, thanks for the info once again!

UPDATE: working with SoftTH 1.08rc3, using FOV=135 for 3840x1024

For those of you having problems with the computer terminals being off the screen, open up my documents/my games/fallout 3 and edit fallout.ini

edit fDefaultFOV=75.0000 to 150.0000 this changes the menus FOV not the game! so the pipboy, hacking terminals and lock picking screens appear how they should look.

This worked liked a charm for me at 3840x1024

edit - If you are just installing the game, I recall that fallout.ini did not appear until I ran the game once. And I hope this helps everyone! ^^

Great news, now the only thing that would be icing on the cake is moving the HP/ammo bars to the middle? :D

Its the same engine as Oblivion, which had a few HUD mods out there from what I remember. So its definitely not impossible. Maybe I'll look into it.

I have changed my resolution to 3840x1024 and the fDefaultFOV to 150 as stated... things look OK, but all the text inside Pipboy or computer consoles is extremely blurry. Any way to fix that?

instead of changing the FOV you can simply change the Terminal zoom.

fRenderedTerminalZoom=72

I'm playing with the scanlines-setting. if that helps improving readability i'll post it.

That doesn't seem to work for me ...
The FOV edit does ... but the text is very difficult to read in some instances.
Still looking for a solution.

I have found a way to get the HUD onto the centre screen ... :D

In the ... FALLOUT.INI ... find the lines ...

iSafeZoneXWide=15
iSafeZoneX=15

for 3 x 5040 change them to

iSafeZoneXWide=770
iSafeZoneX=770

I'm sure the values will be something close to that for other resolutions ... it is a case of suck it and see ... :P
