Can anyone explain me why does the menu freeze after a couple of seconds when I apply 5760x1200? there are sounds when I press buttons but there are no changes on the screen. updated with last patches. SoftTH 1.09. I've noticed that when I quit the game with saved 5760x1200 resolution, I am able to start it up with 5760x1200, able to see the main menu, switch between menu items, but when I press Enter on one of them and try to switch menu, it freezes immediately and nothing can turn it back. I'm crying

I have the same Problem with a cracked version of the Game (but with latest Patch 1.05) and SoftTH 1.09.
I have found a manual in the SoftTH Forum: http://www.kegetys.net/forum
But it does not work for me. Looks like i need to buy it originally... :-/

wooooooot

i just played 1 hour at 5040x1050 and omg the school level was soooo scary 0_0

awesome game

I just wanted to post if you played this game and gave up before "Interval 5", get back in there and play some more. For me the first few intervals were kinda dull and routine, but each "Interval" got a little better so I kept returning for more...then "Interval 5" the game gets back to what FEAR does best, creepy images in the distance, or skittering crawlies at the peripheral edge of your vision, and the occaisonal Alma wrestle...

The School is really well done, and after that it keeps up the quality, you start to encounter some very fast enemies that require the slomo to take them down...keep playing, if you liked the first FEAR, it returns to form...playing 5040x1050 (plus bezel) with no problems or lockups.

What's the trick to getting FEAR 2 to run on Nvidia Surround? It only displays on the center screen for me even though all 3 monitors are active and the resolution is set to 5760 x 1080 :?

Well I first got the game working pretty well (though not perfect) using SoftTH using the below directions, probably not needed with Surround but worth a try...once I switched to Surround, the game worked first try and worked better (no texture issues)...perhaps try 5040x1050 first? Then increase the rez?

1) Patch/Update game to 1.02 or greater (newer patches support triplewide)

2) Launch game single screen one time, set up your key remaps as needed

3) Edit this file at %USERPROFILE%My DocumentsWBGamesFEAR2

settings.cfg
========
"UseWideScreen" "0.000000"
"RestartRenderBetweenMaps" "0.000000"
"VSyncOnFlip" "1.000000"
"ScreenHeight" "1050.000000"
"BitDepth" "32.000000"
"DeviceName" ".DISPLAY1"
"ScreenWidth" "5040.000000"
"HardwareCursor" "1.000000"
"Gamma" "1.000000"

Same here at 5040x1050 (steam version), oh why ... :doh

Edit: Fixed, in the game menu, go to performance and advanced, scroll down to the bottom and switch "Widescreen" to off.

Crap. I just now saw this, lol. 3 screens is working but I get double vision when I switch it into 3D mode. This game would be awesome in 3D Surround! I just can't win :(
