Yeah, I guess I'd better have a talk to Matrox. I just get the impression they'll tell me 'not supported, go away' despite the fact it was there in the GXM :? In which case I'd be pretty disappointed. This is a niche product after all, I paid alot for it, as I'm sure all of us have, and it's frustrating when it won't work as expected.

I *did* know about the limits before I got it, and I was prepared to run it at 3840x1280, but then I spotted 1600x1200x55x3! Now I can't give up until I've got it sorted... I want to make sure all avenues have been tried before giving up and saying it's not possible.

Have your tried manually adding 4800x1200x55 in the nvidia control panel yet?
I got my Triple head up an running without using the Powerdesk software, just addeed the resolutions manually my self. Only installed it to get bezel management.

Yeah, I've tried manually adding it a few times. I either get the 'custom resolution test failed' dialog box or in worse cases it just crashes when I try to apply it. I could be setting one of the settings incorrectly... I'll admit that I don't totally understand the figures it comes up with. I've had a few different cases of it too. Sometimes It'll be the resolution... but in a 3840x1024 'window', ie. the screen scrolls when I put the cursor on the edge.

I'm pretty sure that it's something in the TH2Go module itself, maybe the firmware, because I can easily add a custom res of 1600x1200@50Hz to any 3 of my monitors and it works fine. Even 1680x1050@57Hz (triple wide using the TH2Go, or just normal individual monitors forcing the resolution) works, despite the fact my monitors aren't even widescreen :?

I suppose I need to talk to someone from Matrox, because they obviously must be forcing the detection of the monitors for the triple wide resolution as I can pretty much guarantee that NO LCD is likely to have 1680x1050@57Hz as a selectable resolution and refresh rate! Maybe there's some other thing too that I'm missing but I'm steadily running out of ideas.

Edit: The way I saw the resolution was by going to Matrox GXM Setup, and then 'Edit Mode List', selecting TripleHead and Standard as the filters, and it simply showed up in the list. I was unable to add it however as it was marked as being unsupported :?
