The game is actually pretty fun, controls work well on PC... shame it was hit with such a disastrous fault. Since it was released in EU first, one would think they have known about it for a while and would have fixed it if they were going to.

We'll see I guess. I would love to revise this after a patch.

Yeah, it looks like they didn't really care to do anything when porting it to the PC.

If I get my hands on the game, I might be able to make a fix for it.

That would be cool, as the game is quite good I think. Just fought a huge mech, which is always fun, and I finally have an assault rifle to call my own.

Still, I would bet there are more popular games to work on.

Yeah. I like the game. It's not good or bad. There are some fun things about it, but it doesn't have the same effect on you as Gears of War or some other interesting third-person games.

According to post over on the Digital Extremes forums that's quoting an email from one of the developers (so take this with appropriate skepticism), the porting of the PC version was outsourced to some no-name Russian developer by the game's publisher. Looks like said developer didn't know what they were doing.

I'm really wondering if they're going to patch it. Given the "budget" nature of the port and the game's price, I'd say chances are good the publisher will never do anything about it.

I'm sure it depends on sales... if they make a profit from the game that will pay for a patch, they will probably do so. If the port is never profitable, they probably won't. Of course, the widescreen issue is preventing sales I am sure, so it's a vicous circle.

One wonders why Digital Extremes, a fairly experienced PC developer, didn't port it themselves.

I heard that apparently this game is 'officially' broken on 64bit versions of Windows. I've had sound problems, and of course the vertical stretching, but otherwise it's been OK. Well ... a couple of crashes :P

:( Not holding out much hope for a quick fix then. You may indeed be our only hope Dopefish ;)

I'm playing in Vista 64 and my only issue has been the stretching... sound is fine, stability is fine.

I actually really love this game, have it on the 360 and decided to buy it again because I prefer PC gaming. I'm gutted about the widescreen issue to be honest. Not being able to see the ammo counter is the thing that bugs me the most.

Really doubt we'll get a patch, so fingers crossed someone clever can figure out a fix.
