Having a lot of fun playing the remake. REALLY really need dedicated servers, though. It's truly sad to see a grand total of 3 MP games running online.

We should get a group of us who have the game together to do some coop.

Just to make it clear, 2nd Encounter is the second part of the first Serious Sam and Serious Sam 2 is something completely different. There are no plans for SS2 remake in immediate future. About game's ending, from what I know, only the graphics gets updated, nothing else will be changed.

One reason why there's a small number of servers is because Steam separates servers based on geographic location. Here's what our lead programmer Alen Ladavac has to say on this issue:

I'd certainly be up for that. Holiday silliness is still going on for me, but once 2010 gets rolling I should have more availability.

When a dedicated server package gets released I'll probably put it up on my box for awhile or on demand. For US players on decent connections I'm sure I could run 4-8 players well, perhaps more. Of course if we could get an official WSGF dedi server going that would be awesome.

If they have a linux dedicated server, I can probably throw one on my site for a little bit. It has the bandwidth to handle it.

The WSGF may be getting back into hosting servers for games that are multi-mon friendly. This sounds like it would be a good fit.

If they implement dedicated servers, I guess there's no point in asking for drop-in joining. D:

I can confirm that these minor issues in Surround:
-need to manually input desired game res other than the desktop's
-Screen Width slider crash
are now fixed. DR edited accordingly.

Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter has the exact same support as the patched HD TFE.

The scope sight of the new sniper rifle has a very slight flaw that prevents it from looking exactly the same in all ARs, but I challenge any player to notice it. Completely negligible nanoblemish... although I'd love to understand why the circular shape seems to stretch in 16:10 and squish in Surround.

This should be in its own DR, as you can get both "parts" separately.

Understood, but it might take a while. You can still use this as a confrmed solution, right ?
